You would think that the more familiar one becomes with the subject the easier it would be to render. Maybe for some, but certainly not for me. This triple stem arrangement tormented me. I also struggled with having the background fabric be so bold but I just couldn't force myself to subdue it.

My painting day was short today. We had to deliver work for a show coming up in May. Just when you think you've endured it all you come up against something new. Two of my favorite paintings were sent back home with me because they didn't like the color of the frames. My large pieces are all framed exactly the same except the color. That I pick depending on the piece. Too weird for me.
