"Three For The Road" oil on masonite 6x6" SOLD
These women's suits are so sterile. Somehow hanging here, on a blank wall just exaserbated that feeling. Who wears these uniforms? why? It made for some great imagery but certainly won't be found in my closet. Does anyone else remember a time when "girls" weren't allowed to wear pants to school? frowned on in the work place? Oh, the good ole days!
Love the subject. You have an eye for the unusual. I remember getting sent home for have a mini dress that was too short. Maybe 4 inches above the knee. Contrast that with today's 'casual' (to say the least)dress amongst the young folks. Very tame!
I'm a painter living in Enumclaw, Washington. It's a small town in the foothills below Mt. Rainier. My sculptor husband and I share 3 studios, a foundry,6 cats, a one-of-a-kind, custom, cast bronze door and cabinet hardware company and 5 beautiful acres of land on which we host a July outdoor sculpture show. "A Painting a Day" seemed a little over the top. Just up my alley. Don't look for any consistency in subject matter. The one sure thing? color!
Paintings can be purchased on Ebay of directly from our studio.
