Breeze, oil on canvas 6x6" $99
I didn't intentionally make the background so close to the skin tones. That sounds ridiculous since I mixed the paint. What I mean is the light, airy feeling of the subject dictated how I thought the background should look. Mixed it up, brushed it on, stepped back and there you have it!

My Drivers License Says Blonde..., oil on paper, 6x6" $99
This oil painting paper is so fascinating! The paint responds totally different than anything I've ever painted on. I've been tempted to stop using because it challenges me in ways I'm not sure I want to deal with. However, the results are so interesting that I'm going to stay with it.

Escape, oil on paper 6x6" $99
I love doing lower legs and feet. I had plans to do an entire series of legs and feet with interesting shoes. It may still happen

For The Moon, oil on paper 6x6" $99
Something went terribly wrong when I was working on this. When I stepped back to look all the proportions were off. I grabbed a brush and started literally pushing paint around. The final outcome is much rougher than I usually paint but I love it!

Fluff "Bunny" oil on paper, 6x6" $99
This was such an odd view. It almost looks as if there are 2 ducks but there's not. I love the color!

Futures, oil on hardboard 6x8 $132
This is a snippet of the grape vines on the property I've been posting. Love the space the rails create with the sky.

From Here To There, oil on hardboard 6x8" $132
Everyone must be tired of my photography gripes but here we go again! The value changes between the foreground and background are so much more dramatic in the actual painting. Sure can't tell it from this!

Home Again, Home Again, oil on hardboard 12x16" $528
It's hard to tell, but that's a lovely white picket fence that tails away toward the right, directly in front of the house. The sun was shining so beautifully on it that there is a glowing quality.

Mesmerize, oil on canvas 6x6" $99
This poor painting has been in the photo box no less than 4 times. My camera (or myself) can not capture the glow of the original. When you see it in person it looks like the central areas of the face are emerging from the surface

Go Ducks!, oil on paper, 6x6" $99
I recently discovered that Arches, the famous paper company, makes a special paper for painting on with oil paint. This is my first painting using the new material. The jury is out on how I like it but it seemed like the right time to post it.

One Fine (December) Day, oil on hardboard 6x8" $132
That little slash of light on the right is light sneaking through my photo box. It is NOT visible on the painting. Oh! this is a golf course where I played with my 2 favorite men on Christmas day

Innocence....? , oil on canvas 6x6" $99
If you are seeing this on a fairly large screen format you will notice the stipple of the canvas. Such a photographing nightmare! It is not nearly so prominent in person.
Regardless, the palette was a lot of fun

Know Your Path, oil on hardboard 12x12" $396
I'm really not sure what to tell you about this painting. Sometimes they just unveil themselves. There was no plan. It just unfolded

On A Serious Note, oil on hardboard 6x6" $99
I've been bouncing back and forth between the slick hardboard service and the textured canvas. It's like two different sports!

The Winemaker's View, oil on hardboard 11x14" $423
My critic (husband) and I are having a difference of opinion about the foreground on this painting. He thinks it makes the land "look like it rolls". It does! Score.

No Regrets, oil on hardboard 12x12" $396
Decided to take a little departure from the straight forward portraits. I have plans for a full body image of this but I'm not quite ready

Dreamer, oil on hardboard 6x6" $99
Men with beard stubble that travels part way down their necks should know how difficult it is to paint! I'm just sayin'
