This little arrangement tickled me to no end when I saw it. Do people really have room for displays this elaborate? Seems it might haunt you if you woke up in the night and forgot it was there. Being a lousy sleeper I have plenty of time to contemplate such ridiculous stuff.

I find those quiet moments in eateries so engaging. There's no reason for anyone to be watching...

I've been asked to do a series of "bistro" paintings for a show in April. These little guys are like warm up exercises. We will see.

This is an amazing eatery we visited recently. It is downtown Seattle in the famous Pike Place Market. The food was as good as the glow.

We went to a local haunt that has been "upscaled" recently. Thank goodness they didn't get rid of the cooks.

I still marvel at how much and how fast these guys move under the studio light. At first I thought of how the cows face the sun...but then I realized most of the blooms are going AWAY from my hot light.

It's so interesting painting these under a light. They begin to open and move almost immediately. It's almost like painting outside and having the sun move across the sky, changing the shadows and highlights in its path.

There's a whole new series of Tulips coming on. It was generated by a snaffu on my part. It has actually turned out to be a good thing. That and New York won the Super Bowl!
