I find those quiet moments in eateries so engaging. There's no reason for anyone to be watching...

- I'm a painter living in Enumclaw, Washington. It's a small town in the foothills below Mt. Rainier. My sculptor husband and I share 3 studios, a foundry,6 cats, a one-of-a-kind, custom, cast bronze door and cabinet hardware company and 5 beautiful acres of land on which we host a July outdoor sculpture show. "A Painting a Day" seemed a little over the top. Just up my alley. Don't look for any consistency in subject matter. The one sure thing? color! This painting feels like the interior of the café in Van Gogh’s “Café terrace at night.” Nice composition, BTW.
