- I'm a painter living in Enumclaw, Washington. It's a small town in the foothills below Mt. Rainier. My sculptor husband and I share 3 studios, a foundry,6 cats, a one-of-a-kind, custom, cast bronze door and cabinet hardware company and 5 beautiful acres of land on which we host a July outdoor sculpture show. "A Painting a Day" seemed a little over the top. Just up my alley. Don't look for any consistency in subject matter. The one sure thing? color! This is wonderful, Sharman. Great sense of skittery, birdish (is that a word?) motion in this. All the birds are way cool!
I have really enjoyed your bird series. Each day I think that one is my favorite. Wonderful job of placement, really gives the painting solitude and interest.
Found you thru Don Graay's blog- love the birds- simple compositions, fresh color and real movement!
