This was a commision portrait of magnificent Mr. Henry. It was a joy to be asked to do this piece. I hope the family will be happy.

- I'm a painter living in Enumclaw, Washington. It's a small town in the foothills below Mt. Rainier. My sculptor husband and I share 3 studios, a foundry,6 cats, a one-of-a-kind, custom, cast bronze door and cabinet hardware company and 5 beautiful acres of land on which we host a July outdoor sculpture show. "A Painting a Day" seemed a little over the top. Just up my alley. Don't look for any consistency in subject matter. The one sure thing? color! What a beautiful dog - this family will be thrilled!!! Lovely work!
The family was THRILLED! And, I should know, I am Henry's "Mom" and the one who asked Sharman to paint our beloved family dog. Henry is 7 now. He is forever immortalized in this beautiful painting. The painting sits in a beautifully lit corner of our kitchen in Sun Valley, Idaho. We LOVE it almost as much as we love our Henry.
